Arnold Ventures' Evidence and Evaluation team aims to identify, evaluate, and scale evidence-based solutions targeting the nation’s most pressing social problems. One of the strongest tools in the evidence-building toolkit is the randomized controlled trial (RCT). While not applicable to all policy and program contexts, RCTs are often the strongest choice for evaluating social programs because they fairly compare results between a treatment group and a control group, making it clear whether the program truly works. This strong evidence can be important for informing decision-makers and stakeholders to support effective programs.
This Request for Proposals (RFP) aims to build the body of proven, effective programs, practices and policies by funding researchers to conduct rigorous RCTs across the spectrum of social policy. For more information about application requirements and previous funded projects, please visit the Evidence and Evaluation page here. Please direct any questions to EvidenceTeam@arnoldventures.org.
We will accept three-page letters of interest until June 13, 2025. When you're ready to submit, please click "Apply."
We look forward to learning more about your proposed studies!
